If you accept optional analytics, we receive usage and performance reports, including page paths, referring websites, browser and device categories, and Core Web Vitals. Google Analytics uses pseudonymous browser identifiers in cookies to measure visits, engagement and consented conversion events. These identifiers are not your email address.
We do not collect passwords or payment information.

We do not send email addresses, sign-in tokens, form contents or search text to Google Analytics. Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled. Usage reports help us improve OneBench and understand which pages lead to newsletter interest and enquiries.
We process your email address on the basis of consent. You provide consent by completing our double opt-in subscription process — entering your email address and confirming via the link we send.
You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing. See the section below.
Optional browser analytics, including Google Analytics cookies and Vercel performance measurement, run only after your consent. You can reject them or withdraw consent in Privacy choices below without losing access to the site.
For limited first-party operational records, we rely on our legitimate interests in understanding readership, maintaining security and improving the reliability and usability of OneBench. We minimise this processing and do not use it for advertising. Subscription and delivery records remain necessary to operate the newsletter regardless of your optional analytics choice.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.

These services may process data outside the UK. Their terms and privacy policies describe their processing locations and transfer safeguards. We review our provider arrangements as the service changes.
We retain subscription records (including unsubscribed records) for up to 3 years for compliance and abuse-prevention purposes. Unsubscribed records are retained with an unsubscribed_at timestamp but are never used to send emails.
Our Google Analytics cookie configuration limits cookie lifetime to 60 days without extending it on each visit. Your analytics preference is stored in this browser; its preference cookie lasts up to six months. You can remove or change it at any time. Historical first-party operational events used daily-rotating pseudonymous values; new server-side readership events are no longer collected. The OneBench database, not Google Analytics, is the authoritative record of subscription status.

You can choose daily, weekly or both using the private email preferences link in your briefing. This does not change premium access. Preference pages do not run analytics; opening a link does not change your choice until you save it.
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. You can also unsubscribe at any time by visiting onebench.com/unsubscribe or emailing us directly.
Google Analytics is blocked until you select “Accept analytics”. Rejecting is equally available. We do not send Google measurement requests before consent. We do not use advertising cookies, personalised advertising or Google Signals.
Website audience measurement uses the optional analytics described above, not a separate server-side briefing-view or subscription-request tracker. Functional cookies support restricted access and remember your privacy choice. With analytics consent, a generic ten-minute event receipt can report a successful confirmation without including your email address or confirmation token.
You can withdraw optional analytics consent below. This stops future measurement in this browser and clears Google Analytics cookies that OneBench can access. It does not undo previously collected data or unsubscribe you from the newsletter. Counts may differ between analytics and subscriber records because consent, browser blocking and cross-device visits limit measurement.

Newsletter links may pass through a signed OneBench redirect. Without the separate newsletter analytics permission below, that redirect records no engagement and sets no visitor cookie. With permission, we record the edition, destination, topics and an edition-specific pseudonymous browser value. We do not store your email address, IP address or user-agent string in these click records, and never use an email-open pixel. Known automated requests are kept separate; other automated clicks cannot always be recognised.
The optional browser cookie lasts up to 30 days. Counts are kept as historical editorial analytics and are not linked to your subscription record. Forwarded emails, different browsers and rejected analytics mean counts cannot identify unique subscribers or provide a complete subscriber click-through rate. Contact us above for privacy requests.
Allow OneBench to count newsletter links opened on this browser. No tracking pixels or email addresses; this does not enable Google Analytics. Browser counts are not identified subscribers. Off by default, including for existing website-analytics users.
Turning this off stops future collection. It does not unsubscribe you or change Premium access.
For staff and testing, a browser-local exclusion suppresses website and newsletter-link measurement without changing your consent choices. Visiting an admin route enables it automatically. This exclusion uses a preference value, not a new visitor identifier; its cookie lasts up to six months. Recognised browser automation is also excluded from website analytics.

Where a service provider processes information outside the UK, we require an appropriate transfer safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual clauses. OneBench does not use subscription or analytics data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
