Model provenance
Traceable information about where a model, its data and changes came from.
Definition
Model provenance records the developer, training lineage, licences, versions, dependencies and material modifications associated with a model.
Why it matters
Banks need provenance to assess legal rights, inherited risks, supply-chain exposure and whether evaluation evidence applies to the deployed version.
